It took longer than British Columbians were anticipating, but a provincial government is in place.

When a fire starts in the forest, or in a home, most of us would agree that the “fight or flight” instinct that kicks in has us moving far away from the danger as fast as possible.

Is it time to bring in harsher punishments for starting a wildfire – however unintentionally? As we all watch with heartbreak, forests across Beautiful B.C. are burning out of control – destroying homes and businesses and threatening wildlife, livestock and more, while thousands of hectares of forests go up in flames.

It’s encouraging to see the province – and nation – come together for the thousands affected

When you’re Canadian, you’re Canadian. Period.
