Strathcona Regional District’s SRD Delivers program has awarded over $10,000 to community organizations since it was set up in April.
SRD Delivers is an initiative to help organizations that help provide essential goods and services to vulnerable members of the community. The grants are to cover administrative costs like certification fees, wages, mileage costs and site rentals for food and goods distribution groups.
“It’s fantastic to see the value of organized response and that this program is assisting organizations throughout the region, from the outer Discovery Islands to Tahsis,” said Strathcona Regional District Board Chair Michele Babchuk.
The grant opportunity is still available to households within the district’s electoral areas, municipalities and First Nations communities. An application portal is available online at https://srd.ca/projects/srd-delivers/.
