After defeating the Saanich Braves in last weekend’s semi-final, the Panago Peewee A Tyees are moving on to the Island finals against the Juan de Fuca Grizzlies.The Tyees have just received their schedule and must win two of three games in order to advance to the provincials.“Juan De Fuca has a strong group of players and they will be the biggest challenge for the Tyee’s to get off the Island. They have some very skilled young players and good coaching. Our record is 2-1-1 against JDF this year so if we can play them the way we have been we will be okay,” says Head Coach Paul Stapley.Game one goes this Saturday at Rod Brind’Amour Arena at 2:15 p.m. and game two is in Juan de Fuca this Sunday at noon. Game three, if necessary, will have the Tyees back at Rod Brind’Amour Arena next Sat., March 5, time TBA.
