Peewee Ravens win twice

Campbell River lacrosse team edges Comox Valley 7-6 and then crushes Nanaimo 11-3

It was a fine weekend for the Campbell River Ravens peewee C lacrosse team.

Last Saturday in Comox the Ravens held on for a 7-6 victory.

On Sunday, at the Rod Brind’Amour Arena, the Ravens hosted Nanaimo. The boys came out fast and hard again, but the difference on this day was team defence and ball control as Campbell River posted an 11-3 win over the visitors.

With the victories, the Ravens improve to 3-1 on the season, good for second place in the Island division and tied with Juan de Fuca.

Victoria is in first, but Campbell River has a game in hand over both clubs.

On Saturday, the Ravens play in Victoria.
