Mount Washington is extending its bike park season.

The mountain is opening the park for three bonus weekends: September 8-9, 15-16, and 22-23, so spread the word.

“After starting our bike season later than we’d originally hoped due to high snowfall levels back in late July, we’re pleased to announce three extra riding weekends in September,” says Mike Manara, bike park manager. “The great weather over the last month has enabled us to open up the entire trail network, including Monster Mile and Timewarp.”

The park has seen unprecedented trail improvements over the last month.

Warm, dry weather has given the mountain’s trail crew ample time to rebuild damaged sections of trail from last winter’s snow, plus regain trails that the mountain hadn’t planned on opening this season.

“Getting our entire park open with the addition of Monster Mile from the Eagle Chair, proves our dedication to mountain biking and our Bike Park product,” Manara says.

The Fall Freakout Bike Festival got September started on the right foot with a Jump Jam hosted by Jordie Lunn last Saturday, and the Island Year Ender Bender DH Race last Sunday.

In addition to the bike festivities throughout September, Mile High Chairlift Rides will also be operating on the bonus weekends.

The trip up to the top of Mount Washington is truly unforgettable.

The mountain is offering 50 per cent off Bike Park tickets and Mile High Chairlift rides every day of the bonus weekends: September 8-9, 15-16, and 22-23.
