We keep hearing how broke we are from this government (and most previous ones)
They are going to cut out the Kitsilano Coast Guard base to save less than $1 million. Wow.
Well, having gone through tough times through life, one thing we did in tough times was cut out the frills.
Now, a suggestion to save millions every year, let’s cut the first class travel for our public servants. That’s right folks, come sit back here with the common folk that pay your wages.
When did these men and women that are supposed to do what the people that elected them want (but never do) When did they set themselves up like Royalty, especially in these times of cutbacks.
I am sure John Duncan, because of his gutless stand on our lighthouses, coast guard, etc, etc, will never be re-elected, of course, it doesn’t matter now, he is so entrenched in the trough, his future is guaranteed.
