On behalf of our Alberni Valley Tyee Club and Canada’s Ultimate fishing town, Port Alberni, we would like to offer our sincere congratulations to Tyee Club members Mike and Richard Gage for landing a 61.5 lb Chinook in the Tyee pool, earning yourself a coveted diamond pin from the club.
It’s not every day we anglers get a chance to catch one of these brutes and from one long standing club to another we applaud your feat.
A chrome beauty for sure and by the sounds of it, very well deserved.
May generations continue to see more of these big Tyee’s come out of our waters on each side of the island and work to ensure the survival of this great sport and resource.
