Passed away peacefully on March 15, 2005. Winnie was born on December 10, 1916 in Britannia Beach, B.C.. She lived for many years in Princeton and Victoria, and has resided in Campbell River for 29 years.

Win was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years Doug and her brother Frank Iacchini. she leaves behind her three sons: Don (Nadia), George (Rose) and Mike (Sherry); eight grandchildren: Brenda (Allister) Johnson, Terry (Lynette) Stuart, Mark (Donna) Stuart, Kim Clarke, Kevin (Lisa) Tipper, Dean Tipper, Chace and Taylor Stuart; eight great grand children: Stacey & Christopher Johnson, Kristin Gillis, Nolan & Nicola Stuart, Richard & William Tipper, Taylor Tipper.

Winnie was a devoted mother and member of the community. She leaves behind a legacy of strength and passion for life to be cherished by her family and friends, and will be remembered for her tireless volunteering at the Hospital Thrift Shop, her knitting and bridge playing, and her wonderful sense of humor.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the C.R. Hospital Foundation. A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate her wonderful life at 11:00 a.m. on April 2, 2005 at Suttons Funeral Home, 502 S. Dogwood St., Campbell River, B.C. with a Tea to follow at the Elks Hall next door.
