William D. Mathews

Passed away Oct. 25 in Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria. Bill will be greatly missed by his family: Bev, his wife of 58 years, daughters Sheril & Jean, son Richard (Christine) & grand daughter, Samantha.
Bill was born in Alberta and enlisted in the navy during WWII. He served on H.M.C.S. Henry during the Juno Beach campaign and other European Conflicts. On discharge, Bill settled on Cortes Island where he logged, commercial fished and before retirement was a deck hand on the Cortes-Quadra ferry.
There will be no service by request but any memories friends of Bill would like to share, please forward to the family.
