April 26, 2007

MISKO,

Victor Lloyd

Born in Grandview, Manitoba on March 24th, 1937, passed away in Campbell River, on April 26th, 2007. He was predeceased by his father John Misko, sister Joyce Keiver, daughter Wanda, stepson Glenn Haug, and is survived by his loving wife Jane, mother Mary McClain, Red Lake, Ontario sons Daniel, Dean (Jennifer), daughter-in-law Melanie Haug, grandchildren Sara, Samantha, Ramsay and Jacquelyn, brother Larry Misko, Red Lake Ontario and one niece and many aunts and uncles.

Vic served for the Canadian Armed Forces from 1954 to 1957. He worked most of his life as a miner for Boliden Westmin. In 1993 Vic was badly injured in the mine and his life changed very much. Vic and Jane met in 1958 and were married for 49 years, and raised a lovely family together. He was a good family man, and Vic, Jane and family moved to Campbell River in 1974 and loved the town. He was a hockey dad for all the teenage years for his sons. He really had a very enjoyable and busy life for many years after. Vic was active in all his endeavours, but golfing was his passion. Later on came beautiful Sami and Sara, his granddaughters. He loved them dearly and spent a lot of time with them. They were the highlight of his life. Vic will be very missed by all of us, but he is no longer suffering. Go in peace Vic, we love you.

A Celebration of Vic's life will take place on Saturday, May 12th, 2007, 12:00-4:00p.m. at 3986 Craig Road, Campbell River. Donations in lieu of flowers to the SPCA, Box 541, Campbell River, BC., V9W 5T9 would be appreciated. Island Funeral Services/Elk Falls Crematorium entrusted with arrangements.
