Steve passed away suddenly in Campbell River, B.C. at the age of 35 years. Steve is survived by his wife; Anni, son; Karl, daughter; Anna, mother; Charlotte Rowan (Iain), father; Michael Becherer (Georgina), gramma; Sally "HELLO", Kathy and Steve, brothers Eric (Lisa), Shayne (Denise), Michael and Matthew, sisters; Nerissa and Ariel and niece; Mackenzie, nephews, Hudson, Cyrus and Darwin, aunt; Nancy Noble and uncle Ken Noble both of Ontario. He was predeceased by opa; Erich Becherer. Steve was a long time employee of Ocean Cedar Mill who enjoyed coaching soccer, hiking, fishing, mountain climbing, hunting and almost everything under the sun. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE was held at THE MEMORIAL CHAPEL OF ELK FALLS CREMATORIUM, HIGHWAY #28, AT ELK FALLS MEMORIAL CEMETERY on Thursday, February 12th, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers donations in Steve’s memory can be made to the Campbell River Search and Rescue Society, 261 Larwood Road, Campbell River V9W 1S3 with appreciation.
