Our dear Sophie passed away peacefully at her home with her husband and children beside her. In life her warmth, kindness, laughter and gentle manner touched us all. She faced the end so gracefully. Love you forever darling girl.
Sophie was predeceased by father Stefan Rychlik, mother Aniela Rychlik, brother Edward Rychlik, uncle Bruce Fiuk, uncle Lucjan Rychlik and many more in Poland. Sophie is survived by her husband David Guidi, son Jason Guidi, daughter Angela Guidi, niece Theresa (Kevin) Hooper, great niece Gracie and great nephew Noah.
Sophie worked for the Ministry of Children & Family Development in the province of B.C. as an office manager. Sophie loved laughter, feeding friends and their children, enjoyed lots of company, fire pits, eating, camping, snow, playing piano, dancing, unplanned road trips, her work, her girls and her home.
Sophie was warm and kind, gentle and gracious towards everyone and she was easy to be with.
Flowers gratefully declined, a donation in Sophie’s memory made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
The family sincerely thank all our relatives and friends, Dr. John Walker, Dr. James Proctor, Tammy and Faith at the Campbell River Cancer Clinic, the wonderful home care nurses and Home Care Support Team and everyone involved from the Cancer Centre in Victoria at Royal Jubilee. Your support goes beyond words. A service for Sophie will be held at St.Patrick’s Catholic Church at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 26, 2013, with a reception to follow in the hall downstairs.
