SIMEON DRISCOLL

Jan. 31, 1952 - Jan. 31, 2011

It is with great sadness that family and friends share the sudden passing of Simeon Driscoll (January 31, 1952 - January 31, 2011 - yes, his birthday!) Sim was a special friend, father, grandfather and a member of the local real estate community.

He leaves his son Patrick, grand daughters Kristen and Kayla, brother Mel & sister Annie.

Sadly he has left his best friend in life, Sandra Stephens. Her family, Dennis & Karen Bellavance, their girls Scotia & Cass and Tara & Craig Idiens, their boys Bryce & Joel.

Sim was born and grew up in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. He experienced his early adult years making great music in the bars and lounges throughout BC and Alberta, as a solo artist and with his musician partner Marilyn-Ann Taylor - known as the duo 'The Book Ends'. Marilyn-Ann is survived by her son Shane & Kim and their family.

Sim was known for his love of laughter and a joke. He was an amazing cook. He had owned and cheffed his restaurant in Osoyoos, he cooked for wilderness fish camps. How many Realtors enjoyed his meatballs at open houses, who can forget his sweet potato pie, how will our family dinners ever be the same!

Without a doubt he was the #1 Canuck fan. His 'Boys' will win for him this year!

He has left us too soon...

Much love, Sim, wherever you are - keep cooking, keep making music.. Go Nuckers Go.....

A celebration of Sim's life will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the Eagles Hall, 1999 14th Avenue, Campbell River from 2:00 - 4:00 pm.

Sim loved his cat Cleopatra. If you choose, please make a donation in his name to the Campbell River SPCA - building fund.
