March 22, 1932 – March 15, 2016
Today the world is a sadder place for the Rauser Clan, with the passing of my wife, Shirley June Rauser. Mother Nature smiled down on me when we married in Edmonton, Alberta on October 14, 1950. Shirley was proud of her 2 sons Keith and Gene, daughter-in-law Carla; grandchildren Cindy, Corey, Rachel, Jillian, Jordan and Gavin along with her 12 great-grandchildren.
Shirley was known for her serene smile and gentle nature. She saw the best in most everyone. I was blessed with her love and devotion for 65 and a half years. I would like to pay tribute to all our friends and family who did everything humanly possible to help us through this tragic time.
Can we perhaps at this time of sorrow find a bit of comfort in the words of Norman Rockwell when he wrote, “Those who have passed from this world die only when we whom they loved forget them.”
We will cherish her memory.
