Ruth passed away peacefully on Thursday morning at Yucalta Lodge. She is survived by her twin sons Allen (Melissa) and Stephen (Janine).
Ruth was a member of the Coastal Community Credit Union family until her retirement. She has been a tireless fundraiser for the Terry Fox Foundation since the beginning. Ruth was an avid walker, putting on many miles as she discovered the beauty of the island and ocean. Her happiest days were spent in Maui. She was a member of the River Spirit Dragon Boat Team, and volunteered for several other organizations, such as the Canadian Cancer Society.
The family would like to thank the staff at Yucalta Lodge and Dr. Nelson for their loving care. At Ruth’s request there will be no service. Memorial donations may be made to the Campbell River and District Hospital Foundation.
