After a long struggle with cancer Rudy passed away at the Campbell River hospital with his loving family by his side. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Joan Morgan-Ott, son Stephen Ott (Anita) of Kelowna, daughters Coreen Hack (Roland) and Sandra Harris (Dwayne) of Campbell River. Rudy was especially proud of his 7 grandchildren: Phillip Birrer, Megan & Melissa Harris, Stephanie & Rochelle Ott and Erica & Michael Hack. He will also be fondly remembered by his first wife, Ruth Ott, as well as two sisters, Dorli Kienast and Margrit Inauen and their families in Switzerland.
Rudy was predeceased by his parents and brother Paul as well as his long time friend, Len Hudock. We know Rudy and Len will be spending time together fishing at a "secret" location, reeling in the big ones and telling lies about the ones that got away.
There will be no service by request. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Rudy may be made to the Campbell River Hospital Foundation. Special thanks to Dr. Walker, Dr. Beristain, and the 3rd floor staff for their care and support.
