LACASSE SR., Robert Joeseph
May 11, 1934 – April 14, 2014
The world just got a little bit less interesting with the passing of Robert Joeseph Lacasse. He died peacefully at home on April 14, a month shy of his 80th birthday.
The retired Vancouver Island faller was well respected for his umatched work ethic and long safe career.
His thirst for knowledge and sly wit will be missed by Iris, his wife of 60 years, his daughters Janine and Trisha and his sons Richard, Robert Jr, Travis and Brett. He was predeceased by his son Arthur in 2000.
The grumpy old logger act he maintained was no match for his 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren that turned him into a great big teddybear.
One that had two green thumbs, an extensive garden full of irresistible kid treats and a little tractor for rides.
His sons are still digging through his shop looking for his last beer.
