Robert (Bob) Hanes passed away peacefully on July 27th, 2003 after a brief battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Leslie, sons Trevor (Mi-Rioung), Shawn (Jeanna), Curtis, Luke, daughter Candace, step-daughters Jackie (Todd) Munro and Laurie Jancowski, as well as sisters Barb (Ed) Stang, Sandy (Ron) Hartley, Marilyn (Bob) Moos, grandchildren Braidon and Isabel, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob served as a proud member of the R.C.M.P. for 34 years, where he specialized in Forensic Identification. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and loved camping with his family. He will be much missed by his family and many friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Campbell River United Way, P.O. Box 135, Campbell River, B.C. V9W 5A7.
Arrangements entrusted to ISLAND FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, 103-909 ISLAND HIGHWAY, CAMPBELL RIVER.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, August 9th from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the home of Bob and Leslie Hanes.
