It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden death of Reinhart on July 6, 2016. Reinhart is survived by his beloved wife Selina, his daughters Charlene and Kaitlin, his son Aaron (Lynsey), his mother Hildegard Nodes, his brother Chris Daur (Kelly), and his sister Roswita Dupper. Reinhart was predeceased by his father Egon Daur and his brother Alex Daur.
Reinhart was born in Germany and immigrated to Ontario as a young boy. Reinhart’s love of the ocean drew him to the west coast with his wife Selina in 1983 and he settled on Read Island, and later Campbell River in 1997.
Reinhart was known by all for his vibrant character, and his family and friends could always count on him for a joke or story. He was passionate about his many hobbies which included fishing, woodworking, rooftop gardening, skiing, photography and the guitar. He had a love for music and amassed a large music collection of varying artists and genres. Of all of his hobbies fishing was closest to his heart, and he spent countless hours on the ocean, and various lakes and rivers that surround Campbell River.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday July 23rd, 2016 between 2-4pm at 1114 Blesbok Road, Campbell River. Please bring your fond memories and stories to share and remember.
