Passed away peacefully at North Island Hospital in Campbell River on Monday, January 15th, 2018.

Predeceased by his loving wife Patricia. Survived by his children Dennis (Laurie) and Susan Dougan (Mike). Leaving behind grandchildren Cara (Jody), Jodi, Kyle, Chris (Courtney), great-grandchildren Nathan, Cole, Bryn, Cassidy and Caydence.

Dad was a well-known truck driver for Haida Freightways until upon retirement, Mom and Dad embarked on their fishing career aboard The Dauntless, both their pride and joy. Dad's family was very important to him. He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather and was loved by everyone he knew. Dad enjoyed his fishing, camping and family get-togethers immensely.

A very big thank you to Dr. Douglas of Campbell River, Dr. Booth of The Kidney Foundation, the nurses and care aids of the hospital's 3rd floor for all of the wonderful care and attention you gave Dad, and a special thanks to Bonnie for assisting Dad the last few months as he so enjoyed your visits.

Bill Black will be officiating a celebration of his life on Jan. 27th, 2018 at the Maritime Heritage Center from l pm- 3 pm. Drinks and refreshments provided.
