It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Lee Oja in Campbell River, BC, on January 4, 2022, at the age of 74. Pat leaves to mourn her children Sandy (Matt) and James, her granddaughter Pyper, step-grandchildren Reine and Harley, her sister Sandra, as well as many dear friends, former coworkers, and neighbours.
She is predeceased by her parents, Bert and Evelyn, brothers Bert and Jack, and step-granddaughter Rielle.
Pat grew up in Wildwood Park in Winnipeg, MB and later settled in North Kildonan. Her career at CN led to a move to Surrey, BC, and following retirement she moved to Campbell River to be closer to her brother Jack.
Pat was creative and loved to cook, bake, garden, and craft. She cared deeply about people and always had a smile, a laugh or great piece of advice at the ready for anyone who welcomed it. Her children and grandchildren were her heart and she extended that love to many.
Pat will be remembered as an amazing woman who lived life with passion and laughter. She was a friend to those who knew her and she never suffered a fool.
