Survived by one of his four brothers, Allan; his children Diane (Larry) Sagert, Joanne (Willie) Hart and Keith Smith (Mady); grandchildren Will (Cyndi) Hart, Laura (Gerad) Coles, Kiana Smith (Ray) and Jayden Smith; great-grandchildren Ethan, Brayden and Madeline.
Norm left the homestead at 17, had many jobs in many places including seasonal Warden, ski patrol and bus driver with Brewster Bus Lines in Jasper and Banff. He moved to the Island in 1966 where he started working for Vancouver Island Coach Lines. He worked there until retirement spending many days driving charters to many places.
After retirement he travelled in his beloved motorhome with his cherished dogs until he settled in Creston. He loved volunteering at the Museum, quad riding in the back country and being a rock hound. He moved back to Campbell River be closer to family 4 years ago.
The family want to send a special thank you to all the staff at Yucalta Lodge. He loved his time there. The level of compassion and commitment to his care added greatly to his quality of life.

An open house will be held at 203 Larwood Rd, Campbell River from 2-4 pm on Saturday April 2, 2022.
