Norm was born in Yahk BC. Sept. 13th, 1909 and passed away January 2nd, 2003 at the Campbell River Hospital at the age of 93 surrounded by family and friends.

Norm was predeceased by his mother Ellen; father John; brothers Phil & Ronnie; sisters Dot & Gert; also by twin great grandsons Kenneth & Lorne.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 63 years Beulah; brothers Bob & Ken (Betty); sons Dennis (Kathy); Brian; grandchildren Kevin (Lisa); Dean (Erin); Sonya (Forest); great grandchildren Richard, Taylor, William and Jonah. Norm also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Norm moved to Denman Island in 1936 where he met and married his wife Beulah in 1939. From 1939 to 1944 they lived in the Courtenay Campbell River area where their two sons were born. Norm was employed by Baikie Bros. Logging for 29 years; then while semi retired was employed by Early’s Building Supply.

Norm was the last surviving charter member of the Kinsmen Club.


In Norm’s Memory a Tea and Cribbage Tournament will be held Sunday January 12th at 11:00a.m. at the Eagles Hall. Bring your cards, crib board and any special stories of your memories of Norm to share.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Norm’s Memory to the charity of your choice if so desired.
