15 July 1939 - 6 June 2005.

Neville, the youngest of nine siblings passed away peacefully aged 65 at the Campbell River Hospital with his wife and daughters at his side. He was predeceased by parents George and Mary (Fitzgerald) Barnard; 3 brothers before his birth; sisters Mary; Renee; Peggy; and brother George. He is survived and sadly missed by Diane, his loving wife of 38 years; daughters Tina; Debbie; Kerrie; Cheryl; Tanya (George); and by brother Alan (Christine); 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends. Neville, like his parents and siblings was born in Manchester, England, and immigrated to Canada in 1963. Neville was a Class ‘A’ Electrical Contractor in Burnaby, BC and later in Campbell River (Tritech Systems Ltd.) until severe arthritis forced him to leave electrical work. Neville then became a Realtor with Re/Max Check Realty, and most recently with Key Realty Group. Neville was a past president of Campbell River Lions Club, and secretary and treasurer up to his death. Special thanks to the kind and considerate staff of the ICU at Campbell River Hospital, including Dr. Minnaar, Dr. Mahoney and Dr. Heath. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the B.C. Lions Society for Children with Disabilities, 230-174 Wilson St, Victoria, V9A 7N6, or a charity of your choice. A celebration of Neville's life will be held at Sutton's Funeral Home, 502 South Dogwood at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, 11 June 2005, with refreshments to be served next door at the Elk's Hall after the celebration.
