THORNE, Martin R. born March 28th, 1923 passed away September 15th 2008 with his family by his side. Pre-deceased by his Son Steven in 1976, Granddaughter Leanne, Grandson Timmy and great Grandson David.
Martin is survived by Bernice his loving Wife of 62 years, three Daughters Judy Thorne, Susan (Ian) Bukta and Dianne Thorne. He is also survived by his four Grandchildren Jason (Christine), Melanie, Karin and Jeff and one Great Grandson Anthony and the family pet Doink.
Martin was a Framing Contractor in the Lower Mainland for 20 years before moving to Campbell River in 1975 where he worked at Elk Falls Mill until retirement.
Martin will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his many relatives and friends.
