Margaret MacKay MacMillan

passed away peacefully on 6 July 2006 in Pleasantview Care Home in Mission, British Columbia. She celebrated her 93rd birthday a few days earlier with her family by her side.

Margaret attended school in Lethbridge, Alberta and eventually married John Woodrow Green in 1939. In 1957 Woody and Margaret relocated to Ocean Falls, British Colulmbia where they lived until 1973 when they transferred to Campbell River.

Margaret is survived by her children – Donald (Judy) Green of Durango, Colorado, Lyle (Ardell) Greet of Port Coquitlam, B.C. and Laura (Ross) Irwin of Chilliwack, B.C. She is also survived by her sister Flora Peterson of Kimberley, B.C. and nine grandchildren – Jay, Marla, Colleen, Stewart, Maggie, Andrew, Lori-lynn, Shara-lynn and David. She was also blessed with twenty great-grandchildren – Kayla, Kortney, Jackson, Shannon, Jessica, Eric, Nathan, Brittany, Brianne, Cassidy, Kelsie, Tyler, Joshua, Kassandra, Rachel, William, Scott, Rachel, Becca and Braiden.

She dedicated her life to serving her family and her church and they were the light of her life. Funeral Services were held on July 8, 2006 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Tyson Road in Chilliwack, British Columbia. Interment was at the Royal Canadian Legion Cemetery in Chilliwack, B.C.
