August 13, 1945 – January 14, 2016
We sadly announce the passing of our dearly loved aiti, grammi, mumma, sister and aunt, Liisa Elina Koski (nee Leppinen) on January the 14th, 2016, aged 70.
Born August the 13, 1945 in Kauhajoki, Finland. She moved to Kirkland Lake, Ontario when she was 7 years old. After getting married to Aarre Koski, they moved to B.C. in 1964 and, there she was a long term resident of Campbell River. In January 1985, Aarre passed and she became a proud home support worker for 25 years. She will be sadly missed and survived by her son Kari (Charlene) Koski and her daughter Mirja Beauchamp (George), as well as her grandchildren Brandon, Kayla and Jenna Koski and Jesse and Joel Beauchamp; her siblings Kaisu (Ken), Seija (Cliff), Aila (Kris), John (Sharon), Angie (Danny), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A special thank-you to Tom Hill, RN at Campbell River General Hospital, and at New Horizons, Marc Rondeau, Randi Sandd, and Kim Hamilton for always keeping her safe. Also to Rosemary, Helen, Lee, and so many more RCA’s. Lastly, to Pat Harding and Lori Enns for everything you’ve done for Liisa’s family that helped in giving her a beautiful home.
Visitation on Friday, Jan 22 from 6-8pm at Boyd’s Funeral Services, #1-1040 9th Ave, Campbell River Service Saturday, Jan 23 at 11am at Christian Life Fellowship, 445 Merecroft Road, Campbell River.
