March 15, 1931 - March 5, 2017

Leo Thomas passed away peacefully at Yucalta Lodge where he lived for the past 7 years.

He was predeceased by his wife Gloria (1999), his father and mother John and Agatha Thomas, infant sister Bernice and brother Alvin. Leo is survived by four siblings: Alfred, Loretta (Webster), Joyce (Barry) and Ray (Eleanor) and two sisters-in-law Helen and Joyce. He is survived by four daughters: Valerie Wallace (Guy), Carol Hentze (Gerd), Sharon Campbell (Pete) Cathy Thomas, nine grandchildren: Stephanie, Jeffrey (Teresa), Kristina, Brendan (Jessica), Stephen, Eric (Sharon), Stuart (Chelsey), Ian, Amanda, five great-grandchildren: Seth, Priya, Ryen, Corey & Max. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Leo was born in Wilkie, Saskatchewan. He moved to Campbell River with Gloria and family in 1971. He worked as an auto body technician for over 40 years. Leo enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, watching hockey & playing music.

A celebration of life will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church, 201 Birch St. Campbell River, BC at 1:00pm Saturday, March 18, 2017.  Reception to follow.
