It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Lance Jones on November 2nd, 2019. He lost his battle with cancer peacefully, both daughters at his side.
Left to remember Lance are his wife Doreen, his children Tracey, Jennifer (Don), grandchildren Paige and Olivia (Tracey), his siblings Rod (Gail), Frank (Audrey), Colleen (Terry) Woods, Kathy (Jim) Rawlins and Greg (Bev). Lance was predeceased by his brothers Kevin (Diane) and Doug (Donna), mother June, and father Frank.
Lance was born in Victoria, BC, on March 14th, 1946. He and his family moved several times until they settled in Summerland, where he grew up. Lance and Doreen were high school sweethearts, and married in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, on August 29th, 1967. They eventually moved to New Westminster, where Lance completed his education in drafting. After their children were born, they settled in Campbell River, BC, where they spent the majority of their years.
Lance will always be remembered for his ability to make anyone laugh with his quick wit and great sense of humor. He always had a smile on his face, and his love for his family was undeniable. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
