January 9, 1985 - January 23, 2022
It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Lance McMillan on Jan. 23, 2022. Lance grew up in Sayward, BC with his brother Jason. They shared many fond memories growing up as kids. Lance was a great uncle to his nieces and nephews Koltin, Claira and Alivia. He enjoyed volunteering at Mt. Kusam Building Trail and the Sayward Cemetery, upkeeping the graveyard. He avidly attended church and enjoyed going to bible study groups. Lance loved the outdoors; hiking and exploring. He had a passion for photography as well as many years being a beekeeper to his own colony of bees. He always enjoyed fishing, working on his projects and computers and electronics. Lance was a jack-of-all-trades and he loved to help people. He had a big heart, was kind and funny with an infectious smile. Lance enjoyed going to church every Sunday and spending time with family. Most of all he loved his animals.
Lance is predeceased by his grandfather George Nagy and aunt Linda Redato. He is survived by his grandmother Mary Nagy, mother Cheryl McMillan and stepfather Rick Hamilton, friends and mentors Bill West-Sells, Sandra MacDonald and Paul Martin, neighbours Mr. & Mrs. Villacourt, aunt Shirley Warburton and uncle Kerry Warburton, brother Jason McMIllan (Dana Polkinghorne), cousins Jennifer, Silveria and Christina Redato, nieces and nephews Koltin, Claira and Alivia and many friends he left behind.
Lance will be greatly missed by all.
A graveside service will be held for lance on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 11:00am at the Sayward Cemetery.
A special thank you to Dr. DeBruin, Island Funeral Services and Sayward Christian Fellowship Church.
