Kenneth(Ken) Harvey Scott

January 11, 1930– November 5, 2012

After a very short illness, Ken passed away at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria with family and friends at his side.

Ken was born in Winnipeg, graduating from Kelvin High School. He joined the RCMP in 1951, serving with them for 4 years in B.C. After leaving the RCMP, he returned to Winnipeg where he met his wife Pat, marrying in 1960. In 1965 they moved to Campbell River where Ken worked at the court house becoming the Court Registor and Administrator. In his spare time, he was a coroner for 10 years.

After retirement in 1988, Ken became a marriage commisioner, a position he thoroughly enjoyed.

Left to mourn his passing is Pat, his loving wife of 52 years, his cousins John Neill, Campbell River and David Watson(Elizabeth), Vancouver, sister in law Ruth Kelly, Winnipeg, MB and many nieces and nephew.

A celebration of Ken’s life will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 1-3p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion No. 137, 301-11 Avenue, Campbell River. In lieu of flowers, donations to the C.R. Hospital Foundation, 381 2nd Ave., V9W 3V1 , the S.P.C.A. or a charity of your choice will be greatly appreciated.
