Passed away peacefully at Sunshine Lodge, October 12, 2003 with her family at her side.
She was predeceased by her husband John (1995), son Jim (1980) and brother Tom Masters. She will be lovingly remembered by son Peter (Marjorie) Garat, daughter-in-law Sharon (Tom) Helina, grand daughter Marianne (Doug) Hansen, grandsons Mike (Sandy) Garat, Peter (Darlene) Garat, Rick (Sue) Garat, Reg (Melinda) Garat and ten great grandchildren. Kay was born in Campbell River in 1918, and resided here all her life. She was an active member of the Native Daughters, she worked at both Overwaitea and Co-op stores as a cashier and also was a deckhand with her husband John trolling the west coast aboard the Commodore II.
A celebration of Mom’s life will be held at the Eagle’s Hall, Monday October 20th, 2003 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made (if desired) to the Campbell River Hospital Foundation.
