Loving son, brother, devoted friend and teammate passed away courageously Sunday, Sept. 4th after a lengthy battle with Brain cancer.
Justin was surrounded by his loving family and was in contact with his soul mate Katie and her family at the time of his passing.
Justin is survived by his best friend and soul mate Katie Cornish, his parents Diane and Art, brother Chris Penney, sisters Michele Barteaux and Kim Webb, his brother in-law Chris Barteau, his Opa Frank Zaschke. Uncles David Webb & Peter Zaschke (Kim Wheeler). Aunts Sandy Prue, Judy Good, Stephanie Jones (Don Jones) & Kathy Webb. Niece Hayden Barteau. Nephews Brandan Doneley, Owen Barteaux. Cousins Mat & Stephen Zaschke, Jason & Amber Webb. His extended family - Laura Overton, Dan, Maddie & Alex Cornish. His many many friends & Teammates and His Dog Captain (wheenie webb-Cornish)
Justin was a vibrant young man taken away too soon. He was known for his infectious humour his compassion for friends & community. He enjoyed the outdoors and was studying Environmental Science at UNBC. He wanted to make the world a better place. He loved football, camping and hanging with his friends. Justin’s memory will surround us forever. We Love You Justin.
There will be a celebration of Life held on Sept. 18th at the Sportsplex from 1-4pm open to all. Justin would be honoured if you wish to donate on his behalf to Cameron’s Cause, a local Charity.
