Joyce Francis
of Campbell River passed away peacefully at home with her loving family at her bedside on Wednesday, March 26, 2003, aged 58. Predeceased by her parents and her young brother; Joyce is survived and will be dearly missed by her son Jim Forsyth of Surrey, and her daughters Kelly (Rob) Moretto of Campbell River and Rhonda (Alan) Wall of Courtenay and her grandchildren; Tyler, Danielle, Alysha and Nicholas. Also survived by her brother Gary McMath of Campbell River and sister Kathy Stead of Surrey and her nephews Jack, Brandon, Sean and Stephen.
Joyce started working at Duncan Bay Barge Terminal in Campbell River eighteen years ago. She loved her family, bingo and Christmas. If she could have she would have had Christmas year round. Heartfelt thanks to Judy Stamp and Janine Lovely and the Campbell River Home Support and Care Association and all her very supportive friends. Special thanks to Kel Walker, Ed Longland, Steph Nazurak and Jim and Margaret Humphries.
A Celebration of Joyce’s Life Gathering will be held on Sunday, April 6th, 3 - 5 pm at Coast Discovery Inn, 975 Shoppers Row. All welcome to come and share memories with her family and friends.
Cremation arrangements entrusted to ISLAND FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, 103-909 Island Highway, Campbell River. Donations in Joyce Kirk’s memory to Campbell River Community Hospice, Palliative Care Team, 110 Birch Street, Campbell River, BC V9W 2S2 would be appreciated.
