Passed away peacefully at home in Campbell River, BC on Thursday, January 18th, 2007, at age 81. He was predeceased by his wife Sylvia in 2000; and survived by his daughter Karen John, grandchildren Matthias (Martha) John, Pamela (Frank) Gurtsching; great grandchildren Christopher, Nina-Luisa, Marina, and Tim Pascal all of Germany. Josif liked to spend some of his time bowling at the Campbell River Community Centre and loved nature of all kinds. He will be sadly missed by his family, and friends Milko and Drinka Debro and Robert and Dora Brauer who cared for him. A special thanks to Dr. Rowe, and Dr. Grace and support staff.
A Celebration of Josif’s Life will take place on Tuesday, January 30th, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. at Elk Falls Chapel, Elk Falls Memorial Cemetery, Highway 28 at General Hill, Campbell River, B.C.
Donations in Josif’s memory may be made to the Campbell River Hospital Foundation, 381-2nd Avenue, Campbell River, BC V9W 3V1.
