Hanne Rahbek passed away peacefully on June 5, 2011 in New Horizons Community Care. She will be sadly missed by her children Martin, Lisa (David) and Simon (Charlene); her grandchildren Dana, Elsa, Adam, Emily, Frazer and Jade. Hanne is survived by her two sisters: Olga in Denmark and Gertrude in Norway. Predeceased by sister Bitta and son Nicholas. She was very proud of all her children and grandchildren.
Hanne was a professional photographer and worked in Denmark, Vancouver, Montreal and London, Ontario. She was a badminton champ in her time, loved reading, knitting and all her pets and plants.
A special thank you to Dr. McFadden and the staff at New Horizons for their compassion and respectful care. At the family’s request, a private cremation service has been arranged.
Remember our “Bedste” by planting sweet peas in your garden. Her words: “Peace... when people agree on different things, Dignity...pride in your own being, Joy/Freedom ... are necessary feelings.”
