Joe Daly

May 10, 1949– July 25, 2012

Joe left us peacefully at Campbell River Hospital on July 25th 2012 with his loving wife Kathey at his last breath and listening to his favourite song “When You Need Me”. He was born in North Vancouver and brought up in Port Alice and was pre-deceased by his parents Edward and Jessie Ann Daly.

Joe is survived by his loving wife Kathey; and will be deeply missed by tenants of John Perkins Memorial Housing which he managed for almost ten years. He was also very proud to have worked for Crime Free Housing. Joe worked previously for many years in the forest and logging industry.

Joe wanted to thank the Board of Directors of John Perkin’s for all their care and help during his illness, this meant a lot to him. He also wanted to thank the tenants for their love and compassion shown to him. Special thanks to Lil Aydon, Claude and Doris Carriere and Ed McCracken. Joe and Kathey want to thank Dr. Douglas, the Home Care nurses and the wonderful nurses at the Campbell River and District Hospital for their support. Special thanks to Joe’s RN Candace. Joe had much happiness shown to him by Chris and Marie Brain of Cobble Hill and his Dogpups Rusty and Zoe. At Joe’s request there will be no service. Any donations please send to the Campbell River SPCA in Joe’s memory.

“Thank you Joe; for being the love of my life and for the happiest twenty-one months of our lives. I love you, Kathey.”

Kathey wishes to thank everyone for their loving support during this time. If friends so desire messages of condolence for the family may be left at www.suttonsfuneralhome.com

I Am With You Still

I give you this, one thought to keep

I am with you still - do not weep

I am a thousand winds that blow

I am a diamond glints on snow

I am the sunlight on the ripened grain

I am the gentle autumn rain

When you awaken in the morning’s hush

I am the swift uplifting rush…

Of quiet birds in circled flight

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not think of me as gone -

I am with you still - In each new dawn
