Irene Marjorie Mahalek passed away on December 15, 2011 in Campbell River. Irene was born on December 19, 1921 in Teulon, Manitoba. Irene is predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Caesar, five brothers; Glen, Ralph, Lorne, Ed and Lance. Irene is survived by her sons; Wayne and Randy (Sandi) of Campbell River, grandchildren; Rick, Trevor, Alisha (Jonathan), Tanya, Brian, Triston and Eryn and great grandchild Nathaniel, brothers; Barry (Shirley) McMahon, Bill (Bea) McMahon of Teulon, Manitoba, sisters; Georgie Lalonde of Abbotsford, B.C., George (Grace) Mahalek of Abbotsford, B.C. Irene was involved in the O.A.P. of Black Creek and the Black Creek Legion. Mom went home to be with the love of her life Caesar for Christmas 4 days shy of her 90th birthday. Private family arrangements. The family wishes to thank Dr. LeBeouf and all the staff of the 3rd floor of New Horizons for their loving care of mom and to Sheila for making mom always look her best.
