Helga, a long time resident of Campbell River, BC, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2016.
Born in Dusseldorf, Germany, Helga migrated to Canada in 1957, after which time she lived in various locations throughout BC before finally settling in Campbell River in early 2000.
Helga loved her hobbies and will be remembered for her tremendous talent for activities such as creating pottery, knitting, weaving and spinning.
She is survived by her children Peter Janke of Dusseldorf, Sean (Leah) Croft of Dubai, and Erika Croft of Delta, BC, as well as by her grandchildren, Patrick and Nicholas Croft, and Kolton Braulyn.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of the New Horizons Care Home in Campbell River, and would especially like to convey their deepest appreciation to Perry and Linda Eagle of Campbell River for their selfless dedication to Helga’s care and well-being during this past year.
A celebration of Helga’s life will be held Saturday, July 23rd, 2016 at 1:00pm at Elk Falls Memorial Chapel, at Elk Falls Cemetery in Campbell River.
