Haru passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 17th, 2003 at Sunshine Lodge.
She will be remembered as a kind and giving person - known for her baking and gardening skills. She touched many lives as a cashier at the “old” Overwaitea store where she worked from 1957-1976.
She is survived by husband Yoshi, son Ross (Debbie); daughter Linda (Paul), grandchildren David (Tia) and Susan, great grandchild Carson and nieces and nephews Ken (eileen); Terry (Reiko); Joy, Barb (Brian); Mae (Harry); Rick (June); Cathy and Alan.
No funeral by request.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sunshine Lodge at C.R. Hospital.
The family thanks the wonderful staff at Sunshine Lodge for their loving care and support and also, Dr. Wood for his kindness.
Haru, you are gone but not forgotten; you will remain in our hearts and memories forever.
