Harold Carlton "Shorty" McKinley,

January 9, 2004

mckinlay,

Harold Carlton

“Shorty”

July 1, 1914 ~ Jan. 9, 2004.

Shorty passed away peacefully at Nanaimo Seniors Village in his 89th year. He was predeceased by his wife, Lillian, in 1997.

The family would like to thank the staff of NSV for their kind care over the last two and a half years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Larry (Sandy) of Campbell River, his sister Norma (Art) Bellamy of Nanaimo and his brother Curly of Alberta. He also will be sadly missed by his step-grandchildren Lisa (Merril) Turpin, of Abbotsford, Tim (Rhonda) Sullivan of campbell River and Tammie Courville of Black Creek. He also leaves behind his step-great-grandchildren Jordan and Spencer Turpin, Kathleen and Thomas Sullivan, Amanda and Terry Courville.

He was a happy person who loved to tell stories and reminisce with all who knew him. He was a “storyteller extraordinaire.”

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
