At her home after her courageous battle with cancer, with family by her side.
Predeceased by husband Walter John Feb. 6, 2001, daughter Peggy Joy and son Joseph Walter.
She is survived by her son Robert John (Jeanne) and daughter Wendy (Derick); 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; four sisters: Connie Appleby, Donna Oliver, Joanne James, Frannie Coombs and many nieces and nephews.
Gwen taught Sunday School and belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Hospital for 11 years.
Special thanks to Granddaughter Susie, nurses Janine and Pat and all the Home Support Team.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 228 Dogwood on Monday April 26, 2004 at 1:00p.m.
Interment to follow in the old city cemetery on Highway 19.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Campbell River Hospital Foundation.
