In loving memory ~
Greg passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home with Rhonda. He is survived by his wife Rhonda; brother Dan (Pat); sister Lisa (Roger) Barriault and the Hipwell Family. Greg was born in Comox, B.C. He grew up in logging camps and then onto Sayward where he enjoyed playing men's fastball and camping with family at Bear Lake. Greg graduated from Carihi and continued onto the University of Victoria where he received his teaching degree.
Greg lived life on his own terms. He taught and coached at Robron, Cortes Island and Southgate Schools. He retired from Timberline High School. He excelled at teaching math and truly inspired many students.
"The style you give is an impact", he quoted. Greg enjoyed fishing, men's flag football, loud music, building houses, wood fires, walking C.R. trails, had a love of cooking and many travelling adventures with Rhonda. A wonderful tradition was men's football socials (he loved his name on the trophy). Predeceased by parents Glenn and Flo Liesch. Greg leaves behind loving family and wonderful friendships.
A special thank-you to Dr. Douglas, Dr. Stegeman, Dr. McEwen and the amazing cancer care women. In lieu of flowers a donation to your charity of choice. No service by Greg's wishes. Raise a toast to Greg, he will be missed.
