Graham Richard Sibley

July 22, 1942 – January 2, 2011

After finding out in September that Graham was suffering with a brain tumour he passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home at the age of 68 (who would have guessed). He’ll be sadly missed by his wife Karen and his children Meghan and Gavin. As well as his children Julie (Chris) Yaskow, and Linda (John) Johnson grandchildren Brittany, Mikhaila, Adam and Tyler.

Predeceased by his parents, Victor and Hilda, he is survived by his brother Alan (Eileen) along with sisters Jayne (Larry) and Sue Jones. He is also survived by nephew Daren (Caroline) and nieces Ginette and Lisa.

We as a family came to Campbell River 21 years ago.

Graham had a quiet way of touching people’s lives, both adults and children. This was evident by the support shown at the fundraiser organized by the community. Graham worked for BC Tel – Telus retiring in 2000. After retiring he kept busy working at Rona, Storey Creek Golf Course and being Soccer Administrator for 6 years.

Graham loved to be involved in community activities. His true sports passion was soccer and his dream was to see a turf field for the community.

Celebration of Graham’s life will be held Saturday, January the 8th at 1pm at the Campbell River Baptist Church – 260 Dogwood Street.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Campbell River Youth Soccer Association in Graham’s memory.
