November 22, 1937 - July 2, 2015

Glen passed away in Campbell River following a brief and brave battle with cancer. Born in Saskatoon, he was the oldest child of parents Robert and Jean Carleton.

Dearly loved and sadly missed by all of the family, Glen is survived by Verlie, his wife of 42 years and the love of his life; his brother Hugh (Brenda) and sister Diane Marchand; step-children Michael Peters, Daryl Peters, Jacque Mooney and Catherine Peters; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Following a career in the Canadian Navy, Glen worked briefly with the BC Dept of Highways, then the DOT as a marine radio operator and BC Airlines on Vancouver Island. He was a public relations consultant, practicing for 20 years, in both Edmonton and Vancouver.

Glen and Verlie owned and operated the Gorge Harbour Marina and Resort on Cortes Island for 13 years before retiring to Campbell River in 2005.

Funeral services to be held at Sutton's Funeral Home, 502 Dogwood Street, Campbell River on July 8, 2015 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Cancer Society.
