It is with great sadness that the family of Freida Ruff announces her passing on March 7 in the Campbell River Hospital at the age of 98. Freida was predeceased by her husband Fred and two sons Duane and Don as well as granddaughter Dara.
Freida was born in Delia Alberta to Elizabeth and Lorence Schafer in 1919. She married Fred in 1940 and moved to Campbell River in 1945, where they raised their family.
Freida is survived by her son Larry (Rose); 4 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Ironwood Place for their kindness and friendship. She loved living there. We would also like to thank Dr. Coetze and the nurses on 3B at the Campbell River Hospital for their kindness and tender care. A big thank you to Lena Penuik for her help with Freida over the years. She will be loved and missed by her family and friends.
No service by request. In lieu of flowers donations in Freida's memory may be made to the Campbell River Hospital Foundation. A family gather will be held at a later date.
