Our beloved Evelyn, wife, mother, nana, oma, sister and friend passed away gracefully on July 24, 2019, surrounded by family, after a battle with ALS. Born in Jauer, Germany; she immigrated to Northern Ontario with her family at age 7 and later returned to Germany to pursue studies at the University of Mainz before settling on Vancouver Island.
Evelyn lived a rich and fulfilling life as a teacher, accountant and successful business woman, and spent a number of years volunteering with Campbell River Hospice. Evelyn retired in Brentwood Bay with her husband Bill, where she spent her days tending to her garden, cooking for family, and looking forward to the Christmas season at Butchart Gardens with her family.
Evelyn will be watching over her husband Bill Lipp, children Rina (Ariel) and Ronald (Myrna) from her first marriage to Dieter Rolinski, step children Jennifer (Dean), Rebecca (Marc) and Megan (Joe), grandchildren Elizabeth, Jessica, Amie, Cohen, Ralena, Max and Jack, and sister Tosca Meier. Predeceased by her sister Loretta Winslow-Fell in 2007.
Evelyn will be remembered for her vibrance, generosity and beautiful soul.
