It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister, and most dedicated wife Eleanor Quinton. Eleanor went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 23, 2015. As a family we are sorrowful yet rejoicing in her life of 75 years where she was a very dedicated servant of God. She never missed a minute or ceased in her desire to reach others for Christ. Eleanor worked in her early years as a teacher and librarian, in the later years served along side her husband Ron as he entered into Pastoral ministry in Campbell River. Their whole lives they have laboured hard together to love people and to share the good news of Jesus Christ.

Eleanor was predeceased by her parents Carl and Pat Rodman, her first son Phillip Quinton, and her brother Jim Rodman. She is survived by her husband Ron Quinton, her sisters Lois Venn, Janet Rodman and sister-in-law Shirl Rodman. Eleanor will be deeply missed by her children Shawn (and Kerry) Quinton and Heather (and Will) Chambers. Her four grandchildren were dearest to her heart, Phillip and Sierra Quinton (Axel/ Brielle), and Samara and Rachel Chambers (Yoda/ Cola) will be missing their grandma for years to come; like her own children she never missed an opportunity to attend a school event or exciting time for her grandchildren to share with her their skills and hobbies.

There will be a memorial service to celebrate the life of Eleanor Quinton, July 11, 2015 at 2pm at Discovery Community Church, Campbell River; Pastor Larry Martin officiating. A light meal and fellowship will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to “ Campfire Ministries- Camp Bob. 7898 N Island Highway, Black Creek, BC. V9J 1G8.”

Camp Bob is a ministry based camp that reaches kids for Christ and in which Eleanor was very fond of (especially when her son Shawn was assisting in directing the program there for many years). Pray for our family as we continue to heal from this sudden and great loss to our family, our strength will come from the Lord and is well documented in Psalm 46!!! “God is our refuge and our strength.”
