Eleanor Marion Adams (nee Gray)

1913 – 2011


Passed away peacefully Sept. 16th, 2011. Predeceased by husband Earl E. Adams, sons Russell and Philip Adams, grandson Wade Adams, granddaughter April St Clair and by her siblings Charles, George, James, Thomas, Matthew, William Gray and Annie Burkell.


Surviving Marion are sons Donald (Renee), David, Bertrum (Berna), Robert (Linda), Ervin (Sharon) Adams, 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and her siblings Gladys Perrin and Donald Gray.


Born in Armstrong BC June 28, 1913 but lived her formative years in the Arden/ Ayers area of Manitoba. Her family moved to Arbourfield SK where she finished schooling then met and married Earl in 1936. They went to live in Manitoba, originally settling in the Bellsite area and began to have a family. Marion and Earl relocated to Campbell River from The Pas, Man. in 1951 and finished raising their family here.


A resident of Yuculta Lodge for the past 3 years, Marion had been a homemaker and was active in community groups and clubs when she wasn’t raising children and grandchildren. She was the last of her generation of the Adams family and will be lovingly missed as the matriarch of our own Adams clan.


Celebration of life will be held on Sunday Sept. 25th, 2011. 1pm at the Elks Hall 516 S. Dogwood Street, Campbell River. Luncheon to follow. No graveside service.
