Edward David Adams, of Campbell River BC passed on January 19, 2020 at age 82. Born May 30, 1937 in Edmonton, AB he grew up in Cadogan and Paradise Valley AB, after Kitscoty High School he became a trucker in BC and Alberta. He married the love of his life, Selma Elizabeth Splane on February 1, 1958 and enjoyed almost 62 years together.
Survived by Selma and his children, Cherryle Kereiff (John), Shelly Adams and Eddie Adams (Ruth), he was known to his grandchildren; Catherine (Murray) Tong, Sarah Kereiff, David Craven, Stephen Lawrence and Iden Craven and great grandchildren Alexandra Parminter, Henry and Evelyn Tong as "Happy", "Hap" or Grandpa.
He loved hunting, fishing and everyone came to him with a vehicle questions. He was the "go to man" when maintaining neighbors and friends cars. He was a proud Teamster and drove truck for almost 50 years, with 47 safe-driving records. After retiring, he drove the Cancer Research Transport for 10 years. He would faithfully kettle for the Salvation Army for 26 years and attended the Salvation Army Church for 27 years.
Services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 2 at the Salvation Army Church in Campbell River. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Ed's name to the Samaritan's Purse, a charity dear to him.
